LYNCHBURG, Va. (WSET) - Commonwealth Games All-Star Baseball began a three-day run at Liberty University Friday.

Friday night's first game pitted our area's West All-Stars in the orange taking on the Central.

Brookville's Jared Glinski hammers one to left, but Christian Chambers of Midlothian lays out and robs him with a great catch.

Trailing 6-1 in the sixth, Tunstall's Grant Elliott lines one to center, driving in Northside's Isaac Earls, Elliott's second hit of the game.

Next batter, Christian Lancaster of Chatham, crushes one to the gap in left center plating two runs, Lancaster's triple slices the Central lead to 6-4.

But the Central hangs on to win by that 6-4 score. Four games are on the schedule for Saturday, with the medal games beginning Sunday morning at 9:30.
