Serving as the home field for Liberty's field hockey program, Liberty Field Hockey Field opened on Sept. 3, 2011 when the Lady Flames hosted Radford for the first game in program history.
The Poligras OLYMPIA COOLPLUS turf system is a water-based surface which is preferred for field hockey competition.
Six water cannons surround the field for complete coverage. Four cannons are mounted beyond each corner of the field, while two more cannons emerge at each side of midfield.
